The DVAL girls golf chanpionships had no shortage of drama. Hailey Espinoza of Ygnacio Valley shot a 78 at Diablo Creek to edge out Rachel DeLong, who shot a 79, enroute to the DVAL Championship and a trip to NCS. Northgate won the team title for the first time in 4 years, followed by Clayton Valley Charter. Espinoza hit a perfect shot on 15 and nailed the hole-in-one in front of many spectators.

Freshman Dymphna Ueda edged both De Long and Espinoza to win the MVP honors after winning every league match this season. See the full all-league teams under Sports/Golf above.

It's true that the DVAL will likely look much different beginning with the 2016-2017 school year. The current proposal combines many of the DVAL and DFAL schools into a new "super league" that will be divided into two different leagues based on competitive equity in each sport. The decision, however, won't be final until this spring. The NCS website has all the proposals listed if you are interested.

We are always looking for good action shots of DVAL athletes for the website. If you are a parent or coach and would like to submit photos please email them to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Thank you!

The DVAL website had a technical difficulty and had to be restored. The latest backup was also corrupted, so much of the site has to be recreated. Be patient as we put the most current documents back on-line. Thank you, The DVAL Technical Team.
